Bloodborne Pathogen Training

The HSI Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) program presents information to students that will help them understand what bloodborne pathogens are, and how they can reduce the risks of exposure to themselves and others. 

 

  • HSI Bloodborne Pathogens has been approved by the HSI Medical Advisory Board and Reviewed by the HSI Advisory Council

  • This program assists in satisfying the requirements of the U.S Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standard 29 CFR 1910.10.30

Intended Audience:

 

  • Individuals who are trained as CPR, AED and/or First Aid Providers

  • Employees who have an identified job classification, in which there are tasks or procedures that increase the risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Certification Requirements

Evaluation of the core knowledge objective is evaluated through informal observation and questions throughout the training session.

Available, but not required unless mandated by a state regulation or employer policy

$35 per student*

* Additional fees such as booking (If HSTC needs to book a space for the training event), or mileage may apply. This will be discussed during the booking process.
